Speaking your daily routine in English is the best way to improve your English speaking skills easily. The beauty of daily routine practice lies in the fact that you need not remember it. You can visualize your entire day when you speak it.

I always tell my students to speak about their daily routine day in and day out because it will also them improve their articulation skills. You might ask, ‘How should I describe my daily routine in English?” I am going to explain it shortly.

How to Talk About Your Daily Routine

When I was struggling to improve my English speaking abilities, I could not find a speaking partner. I bought a new mirror and used it as my speaking partner.

You can also speak your daily routine before a mirror. Alternatively, you can speak your daily routine in English before your siblings, parents, friends, and colleagues. You can also make your video recording and observe your performance.

Make sure you practice speaking about your daily routine in English every day until you start to speak English confidently. WARNING: No strategy for learning spoken English will work unless you first understand and correct the common mistakes that are holding you back. Let me take you through my daily routine in English.

My Daily Routine In English (Present Tense)

In the morning My alarm starts ringing at five o’clock. I hit the snooze button and go back to sleep. Around six o’clock, I wake up, freshen up, and go for a morning walk. After returning, I take a shower and get dressed for the office.  I generally have idli or porridge for breakfast. After breakfast, I take my bag and leave for the office.

In the office I walk to the office and reach there around 9 A.M. At the outset, I start working according to priority. I also attend the morning meetings on and off. I normally take a tea break at around 11 A.M and have lunch around 1:30 P.M. After lunch, I resume my work, and by the time I complete it, it is six o’clock. I always plan my work for the next day before leaving the office. You may also want to read daily routine vocabulary in English.

After leaving the office Around seven o’clock, I reach home, rest for a while, and have some snacks. After snacking, I go to the market to buy some grocery items. I purchase the items and return home. After that, I call a friend or relative, and we chat for a few minutes. After the conversation, I have dinner with my family around eight o’clock. Next, I browse the internet, study for thirty minutes, and then go to bed. Learn how to practice your routine to enhance your English speaking abilities:
